We will discuss the theory and practice of utility theory and discrete choice modeling. Essentially, how consumers make decisions between different brands and within the same brand, specifically for consumer electronics. We will also discuss how we use this at Best Buy to model consumer behavior and simulate what will happen to Best Buy's revenue if we close or open a store.
